Weekly Newsletter, Oct. 28-31, 2008

Mrs. Durham will not be there this week. Hope you guys have a great week. See you back on Nov. 3rd.

Our class will be talking about pumpkins, bats, Halloween, and shapes. Please review numbers 0-15 and letters, a, s, m, r, c, p, t and the -at family.

Report Cards will go home on Wednesday. Please sign and return asap. If I need to have a conference with you it will be on the report card. If this date does not work for you, I will reschedule.

We will be out of school on Nov. 3rd for Election Day!

Important to Car Riders:
If you only have a kindergartener you are picking up, please try to be here at 2:30. If you pick up an older sibling too, please try to be here closer to 2:45. The older ones come out later and we can load the kindergarteners first and you be on your way.

If your child eats breakfast at school, please have him/her here by 7:30. We are having a lot of children who are late coming to class because they are getting here too late to eat.

Wed.- Oct. 22nd- Field Trip to Farm. I still have one slot open for parents.
Oct. 23- Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A 5-8. Come support our school.
Oct. 27 & 28th- School Closed for Students
Oct. 29th- Report Cards Go Home
Oct. 30th- Make –Up Pictures. Please let us know if you want them re-done.

HOMEWORK:
1. Learn Telephone number/Address & continue to work on birthdays.
2. Write names 3 times each on provided sheet.

Oct. 9th-15th- Book Fair starts- If you would like for your child to buy any books here at school, please send the money in an envelope marked book fair and we will make sure they go and purchase books. The book fair will be open during open house also for you to go in there.

Oct. 14th- Literacy Day in Kindergarten- please send your child’s favorite stuffed animal and favorite book to school.
Open House 5-7 – Hotdog sale by PTO.
